Rogue Galaxy: Seed

by lee 0 komentar

Seed is an artificial human created by Daytron whose soul purpose is to open the gate to Eden. He is a recurring antagonist in Rogue Galaxy that believes himself to be the "son" of Valkog (occasionally referring to Valkog as "father" among all things), he's first shown wearing a mask since his face "wasn't ready" yet. Valkog sends him to destroy Jaster and the crew. He was primarily made to open the gates of Eden but fails and is discarded by Valkog, only for Seed to go insane and transform to a giant four legged beast. He's soon ultimately defeated by Jaster, telling Jaster that all he wanted was to be human like him, and after said so he falls an disappear in a pile of dust.

Personality
Seed is the opposite of Jaster, he is always calm and sure of himself, and this often leads him to overestimate himself. His greatest desire is to satisfy his "father" Valkog and to become a "real" human like Jaster  and his friend.

Appearance
Also like Jaster, Seed have a unique birthmark on the left side of his face. He has silver hair and eyes. He always wears a black and white suit, and he's first shown wearing an expressionless black and white mask. The reason Seed looks as he does is due to the genetic code found on the great tablet, which was a code resembling that of the Star King's power. Thus the reason for the mark on Seed's face.

Trivia
The final boss in the Ghost Ship, Doppelganger, strongly resembles Seed but looks as if he's in "Star King mode" like Jaster.

Rogue Galaxy: Valkog Drazer

by lee 0 komentar

Daytron Corporation president Valkog Drazer is a major antagonist in Rogue Galaxy whose primary concern is profiteering from the intergalactic war between the Longardian Federation and the Draxilian Empire.

Personality
Valkog is about as pompous and self-absorbed as one can get. He is a living manifestation of Pride, Greed and Gluttony and it shows in his appearance and mannerisms. He cares nothing for the people harmed in the war, nor does he care about whether or not the war is actually accomplishing anything. The way he sees it, as long as he can turn a profit in the end, he could care less if he ran the entire Wilherser system into the proverbial ground.

Appearance
Valkog is a short, devil-looking man with blonde hair, shifty eyes and a Hitler-style Toothbrush Mustache. He wears an expensive-looking robe and several rings. He can often be seen being driven around in a large black limo by his assistant Norma with his associate Dr. Izel. Together, they make up the top ranks of the Daytron Corporation.

*Spoilers Alert*
After the defeat of Seed, Valkog's - and, indeed, the Daytron Corporation's - ultimate goal is to seek out Eden in order to tap into the nearly limitless powers of Rune and create an army of monsters with which to flood the vast reaches of the galaxy and thus prolong the intergalactic war, theoretically maximizing his possible profits from it. He succeeds, though it is a hollow victory indeed as the masterless Rune power snags his ship and drags he and his associates and henchmen down into it. The dark powers of the Rune mutate all of them together to create the Demon Battleship, the final boss of the game. The Demon Battleship (and thus Valkog as well) is killed by Jaster and the Dorgengoa Pirates when their attacks weaken its body to the point that, as Zegram points out, the ship's engine explodes. This effectively finishes off Valkog and company once and for all.

Trivia
* When battling Valkog's hands on the Demon Battleship Valkog will yell in pain as soon as you defeat one of the hands why the hands were inside the batlle ship instead of on the outside like Norma and Izel's is hard to guess

* While he actually fantisises to be the galactic emporer he does have more power than anyone in Longardia or Draxil

Rogue Galaxy: Monsha

by lee 0 komentar

Monsha is the first mate of the Dorgenark and the second in command after Dorgengoa. He's very loyal to Dorgengoa, and when the captain is napping or is not around he is the one in charge and often takes advantage. Nevertheless he a good person who care about his crew.

Personality
He is a bit greedy but offers his help when Jaster and the crew need it. For example he help Jaster and Kisala to return to Salgin when Valkog attacks the city.

Appearance
Monsha appear like a cat with a white fur and blue eyes that wear a collar with a bell.

Rogue Galaxy: Deego Aegis

by lee 0 komentar

Deego Aegis is a war vetran who was sent on a mission that went out of control. His right arm was torn off, and replaced with a cybernetic one, composed of nearly 100 pieces. He then moved to the planet Vedan, where he thought he could be content by drinking his life away at Angela's Bar. No matter what, Deego would not leave the bar, but would stay. He thinks by drinking he can stay out of trouble, but since his friend Gale began to get himself into the local brawls, he begins to no longer have a choice.

Personality
Deego was brave and strong-willed before his accident. After that, he became full of cowardice and was afraid of everything. He has dificulty keeping his temper sometimes, but other than that, he is good willed and kind to his companions. Deego is not gullible, and he is rarely fooled.

Appearance
A member of the Quan race, Deego appears as a Brown bulldog-human mix. He has a white chest and paws. Deego stands as a human normally would. Deego is an original character - he is the only one to appear as a dog. Deego's clothes and portable cannon are customizable.

Weapons
Deego's main weapon is a massively large axe, held in his cybernetic arm and stored on his back when not used. Deego's long range weapon is a portable cannon that he attaches to his armor during battle. This gun can be customized with different types of guns, such as a Gatling type which has a large clip, low damage and high knockback, or explosive type with high damage, a small clip and almost no knockback.

Rogue Galaxy: Jupis Tooki McGanel

by lee 0 komentar

Jupis Tooki McGanel was once a researcher for the Daytron Corporation before the events of the story began. Considered brilliant by his peers, he worked day and night on his projects with his assistant Tony, particularly his last project involving the use of Time/Space energy that could solve the galaxy's energy problems. That is, until things took a turn for the worse...

Personality
Jupis tends to be somewhat arrogant and presumptuous, as well as a little impatient. However, he is also a genius, especially when it comes to technology. He also has somewhat of a temper, though this is most apparent when he's been up for a week straight with the help of his Coffee addiction. Despite caring about his projects a great deal, he also values people such as Tony, his former lab assistant. He seems to be more of a Comic-Relief character than some of the others, even seeming a bit gimmicky at times (a sort of Jar-Jar Binks, just in a different galaxy), but he sheds this image somewhat toward the end of the story. His home planet seems to be Zerard, as he remarks before leaving with the crew of the Dorgenark that the police have his house staked out.

Appearance
Jupis is a blue-skinned, long-necked lizardlike creature known as a Granshee. His skinny limbs contrast with a somewhat rotund torso and his long arms also contrast with his somewhat short legs. His outfit is customizable, just as it is with every other player character, but he always carries a Spear and a Weapon Box.

Weapons
Jupis carries a Spear and a Weapon Box, the latter dispensing various articles (such as miniature kamikaze UFOs) on command. As with most weapons, there are many kinds of both and the Weapon Boxes, being subweapons, can only be used a few times per battle.

*Spoilers Alert*
During the time/space project, Jupis worked continuously for an entire week thanks to his addiction to Coffee keeping him up. However, the tiredness still took its toll on his mind, causing him to overlook a fatal flaw. As Jupis finally stopped to rest, Tony spilled Jupis' coffee all over the keyboard, causing the entire mainframe to crash. Jupis took out all of his sleep-deprived wrath on Tony, subsequently firing him. The bad Karma drawn by his actions got Jupis fired from Daytron soon after, causing him to go slightly insane and hijack the Daytron Starship Factory where he was previously employed as an act of revenge. It is about at this point that Jaster and company have escaped from Rosencaster Prison and are trying to get their Intergalactic Travel Visa renewed at the Galaxy Corporation headquarters. With the mainframe under Jupis' control, no Visas can be renewed, much to the party's dismay...until MIO suggests that the party go after Jupis themselves. Later in the story, as Jupis and the rest of the party each work to gain their individual Drigellums, Jupis is forced to come to terms with his pride, which caused him to (along with the mental impairment due to sleep deprivation) overlook the fatal flaw in his Time/Space Technology research. Tony had warned Jupis about it, but Jupis had paid no mind. Hundreds if not Thousands of Zerardian citizens would have died had their project been tested with the flaw in it, so Tony took drastic action, sabotaging the project in order to save those citizens and consequently getting fired by an enraged and mentally/emotionally unstable Jupis. During this sequence, Jupis and Tony reconcile and Jupis gains the Drigellum of Pride.

Trivia
* Jupis is the only character you actually have to fight before he'll join the party. That said, you have to fight him twice...while he's commanding a giant Battle Mech.

* Jupis' robot Johnny got its name from the famous line from The Tonight Show, 'Heeeeeeeere's JOHNNY!'.

* Jupis is addicted to the Coffee made from the Juraikan Coffee Beans, an item that can be used in his Revelation Flow.

* Jupis is the last character the party can actually control due to the fact that they fly to Vedan immediately after he joins the crew and the expedition to Angela's Bar is run by Jaster and Kisala. When they arrive there, Deego joins up after a cutscene, making Jupis the last character to become available for use in the field.

* Jupis bribes the crew of the Dorgenark in order to become a member. Specifically, he bribes Monsha with what appear to be Catfish and Kisala with what appear to be either Dumplings or Rice Balls.

* Jupis remarks on Juraika during the trip to the Leo King's Ruins that a certain kind of bird on Juraika likes to eat Granshees. He also remarks on Rosa that he doesn't like the heat. This may lead one to believe that Granshees are only really fit to live on technologically developed and ecologically friendly planets such as Zerard and Vedan, as evidenced by the fact that a shopkeeper on Vedan named Corbis is also a Granshee.

Rogue Galaxy: Lilika Rhyza

by lee 0 komentar

Lilika Rhyza hails from the remote and primitive Burkaqua Tribe that lives on the jungle planet Juraika. She is head of the Burkaquan Warriors and champion of her people, a venerable title that she gained under motivation from a traumatic incident in her past...

About Lilika
Lilika is in line to succeed as Village Chief when the time comes and it isn't hard to see why: She's a superb warrior, a canny tactician and a natural leader. Although her talk about spirits might lead her companions to think of her as excessively religious or superstitious, for Lilika that sort of thing is just a part of her upbringing and she is nothing if not matter-of-fact. If her companions try to keep a secret from her or lie to her, she will see right through them immediately and she will not be very content...

Personality
Lilika is a strong, young warrior. She will risk her very life for her people and is very trustworthy. She is not religious, but she does follow the ways of the ancient Burkaquans strictly. She is a natural leader and she is also very persuasive... using threats, that is. It wasn't always like this, however. Her motivation to be such a powerful warrior stems from an incident in her childhood that led to her mother's death and her sister Miri losing her eyesight.

Appearance

Lilika is a young woman with light brown skin. She has long violet hair, but keeps most of it tucked away in her tribal headdress. She wears light clothing that, like the other main characters' outfits, is changeable. She always carries a Bow and a Hatchet with her, though.

Weapons
Unlike the other main characters, Lilika's weapon system is switched. Her main weapon is a long-range Bow with a limited number of arrows available in each battle. Her secondary weapon is a Hatchet that can be used indefinitely.

*Spoilers Alert*
Long before the events of the story, Lilika, her younger sister Miri and their Mother had been out in the Jungle picking fruit when they were attacked by the Individer.

In the attack, their mother was killed by the beast. Lilika was knocked away from her sister, whom the beast had laid eyes upon next. In Lilika's memory, she fought valiantly against the beast...but her blows came to naught. It almost seemed as if, for all the good it was doing, she was striking at water. The beast attacked Miri and took her eyesight. Years later, when Miri is to be sacrificed to the "Star God" in order to halt the spread of the Dark Fruit, the beast appears again. This time, Lilika defeated the Individer with the help of Jaster, Kisala and the Freeze Shot, which hardened the beast's liquid-like skin into a damageable form. Near the end of the story, it is revealed that Lilika did not fight the beast as she remembered: instead, when her sister called to her, she froze in panic. Seeing her sister being mauled by the beast, she could not bear to live with the memory that she had sat by and done nothing to save Miri from the beast. As such, she fabricated her memories so that she would think she fought it, just to keep the guilt away. When confronted with the truth, however, she breaks down. It is then that her mother appears before her and helps her to find the courage to face the truth and move on with her life, granting Lilika the Drigellum of Courage when she does so.

Trivia
* Lilika is voiced by Kari Wahlgren in the English version, the same person who voiced Raine Sage from Tales of Symphonia (again, the English version). The two characters have much in common: both have highly developed Intelligence and Spirituality, both have violent tempers, strategic minds and appraising eyes (as seen during the 'name your price' moment before the party goes off to hunt down Jupis) and both lost their mothers at a young age (Raine's to separation and insanity, Lilika's to death). If Lilika dons the Star Traveler Outfit, they even have the same HAIR color. These facts do not seem to be coincidence.

* Lilika's Drigellum is green-colored and represents courage. In the Legend of Zelda series, Link wears a lot of green and carries the Triforce of Courage. Both characters were raised in a woodland environment, according to Ocarina of Time. These facts do not seem to be coincidence.

Rogue Galaxy: Dorgengoa

by lee 0 komentar

Dorgengoa is the captain of the Dorgengoa Pirates, owner of the Dorgenark and supposed father of Kisala. He's highly obese but can still manage to move around. As of late, he has been traveling the galaxy hiring the best Hunters he can find, his eye on a legendary treasure...

Personality
Dorgengoa tends to spend a lot of time either eating, sleeping or reading his favorite book, the Geo Record. During this time, he tends to leave management of the ship to his First Mate/Pet, Monsha. He has a fiery and domineering temper, but cares for his daughter's and his crew's well-being above perhaps all else, even above finding the legendary treasure he seeks.

Appearance
Dorgengoa is a very fat, brown-haired, hairy, bearded man wearing a goggle-adorned hat, massive shorts, a too-small jacket with shoulder pads and a belt buckle that might as well be a gold-plated manhole cover. His hands and boots are tiny in comparison to his head and torso.

*Spoilers Alert*
Guided by the Geo Record, Dorgengoa is searching for the lost treasure of Eden. For this purpose, he searches the galaxy for Hunters such as Zegram and Desert Claw to help him find it. However, when Simon and Steve find Jaster with Desert Claw's sacred sword Desert Seeker, they mistake him for the real Desert Claw. When Dorgengoa finally awakens from his nap after the events on Zerard that culminate in the renewal of the Dorgenark's Visa, he is understandably outraged about the mistake. However, after putting Jaster through a test, he welcomes him to the crew. He can tell there is something special about Jaster, a similar feeling to the one he got when he first met the real Desert Claw. Dorgengoa is, in fact, NOT Kisala's real father.

Young Dorgengoa
During the Ghost Ship miniquest, a young adventurer is encountered near the end. He tells you that his name is Dorgengoa (possibly the young Dorgengoa, due to the Ghost Ship's strange properties)and gives you the Captain's Uniform and his sword, the Dorgenedge, disappearing never to be seen again in the game afterward.

Trivia
* Dorgengoa gained his ship through a joint effort led by himself and the legendary shipwright Chrisden Ark.

* The onboard Tavern/Galley of the Dorgenark is named "Veronica". It stands to reason that it also carries a stock of Pirate's Grog, a high-alcohol beverage that Zegram happens to like (and may be the only reason why he even hangs out with the Galaxy's friendliest pirate crew).

* The Bartender on the Dorgenark is actually Jin Red, a contender in the Insectron S-Rank Circuit (unbeknownst to the rest of the crew).

* The item "Captain's Socks" are indeed a reference to Dorgengoa's foul feetwear. It is no wonder that they factor into Kisala's technique Deadly Stench, but why they are necessary to create Zegram's Drunken Burst Level 2 technique is anyone's guess...

Rogue Galaxy: Zegram Ghart

by lee 0 komentar

Zegram Ghart is a Hunter who joined forces with the Dorgengoa Pirates long before Jaster came aboard with them. He's not an official member of the Dorgengoa Pirates, even though he seems to be the most pirate-like of the lot. He's one of the many elite hunters that the captain is hiring on, presumably to tackle some enormous and hugely profitable challenge. However, that's not to imply that his loyalty was ever part of the contract...

Personality
As befits a mercenary, Zegram is aloof and diffident and offers no clues as to his past (though a late-game cutscene reveals it to be Zerard). He doesn't think much of the kindly Dorgengoa Pirates and thinks even less of the greenhorn Jaster when he meets him. He prides himself on being a friendless 'Lone Wolf' devoid of any particular allegiances, seeming only to care about turning a profit at the end of a long day despite showing a certain sense of humor on occasion. It's anyone's guess as to how Zegram manages to stay with the friendliest pirate crew in space - perhaps his affinity for Pirate's Grog and the fact that the bar in the Dorgenark's galley stocks it makes it a little bit easier for him.

Appearance

Zegram has a large tiger stripe tattoo across his chest and a scar across his face. He has long, brown hair and a red eye patch across his right eye. He has two earrings as well as a variety of necklaces and rings. Zegram's outfit is customisable just like it is with the other 7 playable characters in the game; most bear similarity to a Samurai's Gi, which makes sense given that his weapons consist of large single-edged Broadswords and Shuriken that are dispensed from a dispenser on his belt. Some fans remark that he looks similar to a cross between Auron from Final Fantasy X, Xiahou Dun from Dynasty Warriors series, and Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Carribean and even bears a slight resemblence to Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series.

Weapons
Zegram uses various single-edged Broadswords at close-range. Due to his fighting style, he is a little slower in comparison to Jaster, requiring greater technique to use efficiently. Zegram also uses Shuriken in addition to his sword, enabling him to throw up to three at a time and use about 75 per battle.

*Spoilers Alert*
It is revealed through cutscenes early in the game that Zegram is only being paid for his services on the Dorgenark, not his loyalty: he abandons Jaster and Kisala before the fight at the Altar of the Star God on Juraika and despite returning with a canister of Booster Oil made from Fire Fruit, it is also shown that he was talking with a third party. Zegram is later shown to be in the service of Valkog's regime in their attempt to unlock the gate to Eden when they got word of Dorgengoa's bid to find out its secrets. However, this is once again an example of how he was being paid for his services, not his loyalty: after defeating Seed at the Great Tablet, he betrays Valkog and company, knowing their promises to be empty. The true Zegram was once a kinder, more caring man until his fiance Jane was killed by a Brutish Hawk while trying to save an old man. Knowing his skill as a Hunter, it was at this vulnerable moment of his life that Valkog and his associates approached him with a proposition: They would find a way to bring her back in exchange for his services. It was an offer that Zegram couldn't bear to refuse. It is revealed after the aforementioned fight at the Great Tablet that Zegram had doubted the sincerity of Valkog and associates ever since his visit to the Rosencaster Prison, where he had seen human bodies being transformed into mindless monsters through exposure to Rune. This was not the resurrection Zegram had imagined for his love; on top of the ethical implications of reviving the dead, he saw that they probably had never had any intentions of bringing her back to life in the first place. Despite being mistrustful of Zegram from that point on, Dorgengoa allows him to remain a part of the crew after a little convincing from Jaster and Kisala. It is toward the end of the game that Zegram rebuilds his connection to his inner feelings and acquires the Drigellum of Love for allowing himself to feel his loss of Jane and let her go, thereby enabling himself to move on with his life.

Rogue Galaxy: Kisala

by lee 0 komentar

Kisala is said to be the 'daughter' of the Pirate Dorgengoa, (SPOILER) but she is actually the daughter of the queen of Mariglenn (END SPOILER). Kisala is an active, young pirate girl who is often critized by Zegram Ghart.

She is in love with Jaster Rogue, and he has a crush on her as well. When the crew reaches Mariglenn, it is revealed that (SPOILER) Kisala's true parents are the rulers of Mariglenn, making her the princess. After the battle with Mother to end the threat of Rune, Kisala chose to stay behind on the new Mariglenn, that caught up to their time period, and be it's ruler. However, Kisala, in the end, is kidnapped from Mariglenn by Dorgengoa, Zegram and Jaster (the remains of the Dorgengoa crew at the game's end) and she decides to stay with them, though this can't be proved since the game scene ends when they fly towards Mariglenn and Jaster's narration ended it (though them going to the Ghost Ship after completing the story could prove otherwise and they managed to get the crew back together again)(END SPOILER). She has strong feeling towards all living things, and is very kind.

Kisala is one of the seven main characters in Rogue Galaxy, but she is more important to the story than most others. Being a pirate, she is tougher than most characters, and is very brave.

Personality
As Captain Dorgengoa's daughter, Kisala is as much of a pirate as anyone else on the Dorgenark. Her sweet exterior belies a very clever and capable young woman who hasn't been a bit spoiled by her position of influence. Kisala is canny and hard to fool, but is also rather more compassionate than seems to be the norm for a pirate. She'll loot and treasure hunt happily, but if she can help someone out while helping herself, rest assured that Kisala will do things that way. If anything, she may worry about other people's feelings far more than she worries about herself moreover she has more than a feelings for Jaster.

Appearance

Kisala has short brown hair, and blue eyes. She has a short, pointy nose and black, thin eyebrows. She is very slim, and likes to wear light clothes. Her clothing is customizable, as for her shoes.

Weapons
Kisala uses daggers and swift kicks as attacks. There are over 20 different daggers that Kisala can use. The shoes that the player puts on Kisala affects her attacks when using the swift kicks. Kisala is good for close up combat, but nothing else.

Rogue Galaxy: Steve Poccacio

by lee 0 komentar

Steve Poccacio is an android created by Doctor Donald Pocacchio, a brilliant researcher and scientist living on Zerard. Steve is one of the Doctor's most prized experiments and travels with the crew of the Dorgenark to gain data from all over the galaxy through all of the travelling that the Doctor himself is now a little too old to do himself. Steve acts as the navigator of the ship due to his internal database having a stronger and faster memory than those of any of the rest of the crew members. However, he is also carrying data that even he HIMSELF is not aware of...

Personality
Steve is possibly the most innocent of the crew, always meaning well and never intending to harm others (though he'll fiercely defend his allies from monsters). He is a hardworking and loyal member of Dorgengoa's crew and is good friends with Simon, often being assigned to missions with him. He is easygoing and cheerful, which is displayed in his voice as he can't very well show it on his face. This may also be the reason for some of the exaggerated poses he and Simon do during some cutscenes as neither of them can show emotion on their faces (Simon is wearing a mask, Steve doesn't really have a face because he's a robotic-looking android).
Appearance
Steve, as a result of looking more like a robot than an android, is built like a robot. He appears to have actuators for shoulders and his face and chest are made from molded metal. As with the rest of the player characters, his 'outfit' can change throughout the game, but his weapons stay constant: his hands and a pair of remote drones that follow him around during battle and attach to his back when in standby mode (i.e. when he's not in battle).

Weapons
Steve attacks primarily with his hands, which can be either normal-looking robotic hands or a pair of wickedly-clawed talons. He also attacks using a pair of remote drones that can strike from a distance for a limited number of times during battle before their energy reserves deplete.

*Spoilers Alert*
Unbeknownst to Steve, Dr. Pocacchio secretly uploaded a memory file of his young son Mark who passed away shortly before the story events began into Steve's brain during a cutscene during the Daytron Starship Factory events. This, however, was illegal on his part. Mark tags along with Steve and company in his head, only coming out when Steve communicates with Dr. Pocacchio and is powered down for "maintenance". Eventually, the authorities find out about what Dr. Pocacchio has been doing and put him under arrest. While they search his computer for the file of Mark's memory, Mark deletes himself while Steve watches as a hologram. The deletion crashes Dr. Pocacchio's computer and despite saving him from prison time (as he can't be arrested if no solid evidence is found and hearsay/eyewitness accounts are never enough to get a conviction), the Doctor collapses in grief from having lost his son all over again. It is when Steve and company are pursuing the Drigellums that he sees Dr. Pocacchio drinking in his room. Steve assumes that he is still grieving over the loss of his son until an image of Mark appears next to him (much to his surprise) and explains that it is not so. It is in this cutscene that Steve sees that Dr. Pocacchio has re-evaluated himself, regained his drive in life and continued an old project of his: inspired by Steve's determination and fervent desire to be human one day, Dr.Poccchio created a human-like android body that Mark explains was meant for Steve all along. Before Mark leaves for the final time, he grants Steve the Drigellum of Desire.

Rogue Galaxy: Simon Wicard

by lee 0 komentar

Simon Wicard is a member of Dorgengoa's crew and good friends with Steve. He runs one of the positions in the control room when on duty and is often out on foot missions with Steve when the ship has landed somewhere. He and Steve were assigned to the original mission to find Desert Claw on Rosa and when they found Jaster with Desert Claw's legendary sword Desert Seeker they were convinced that they had the right person. Despite that misjudgment, however, he is a hardworking and confident member of the crew, despite the fact that he wears a mask and dares not show his face...

Personality
Simon is an easygoing and happy-go-lucky sort, not one to be the bearer of bad news. He and Steve are solid friends and head out on missions together frequently (despite the fact that, other than Zegram and Kisala, Dorgengoa really doesn't have anybody else to run planetside errands for him at story's start). He is known for having a confident and cheerful (though thick) Scottish accent as well.

Appearance
Simon is a short, stout man whose body is mostly covered in a large spacesuit. Though he can change his outfit, three things remain contant about him: the nozzle and large rocket pack that he carries as well as the mask that he wears over his face.

Weapons
Simon primarily attacks using the Nozzle that he carries, enabling him to fire anything from napalm to balls of plasma. He also carries a large Rocket Pack on his back that allows him to fire missiles across the screen at enemies. As with all secondary weapons, the Rocket Pack carries limited ammunition. Simon is perhaps the only player character that carries weapons that allow him to keep his distance from an enemy no matter what weapon he's using.

*Spoilers Alert*
The reason that Simon is always wearing that mask of his has to do with an event that took place several years prior to the events of the story. He once lived on planet Zerard with a wife and their daughter, back when people knew him as "Sho". However, an explosion at the plant he worked at scarred his face horribly. He could not bear for his family to see what he looked like, fearing that they would be repulsed by him and would only stay with him out of pity for his condition. He took his clothes and a mask from the hospital he had been admitted to and left before anyone could notice that he was gone. Signing on with the crew of the Dorgenark, he then proceded to travel the galaxy with the crew. It wasn't until the party reached Zerard sometime later to renew the Dorgenark's Travel Visa that the party happened upon a woman and her daughter in the town square. Introducing herself as Miyoko and her daughter as Chie, she inquired as to the whereabouts of her husband, Sho. When Simon heard this name, he turned away, hurriedly saying that he had not seen him. As the party continues to travel the galaxy, they encounter Miyoko and Chie again in several places, seeing them for the last time - of all places - wandering in the Kuje Desert before Chie suggests going back home as that's where Sho would most likely return if he had gone away. It is when Simon pursues his Drigellum that he sees the two of them back at their home, waiting for him. No longer being able to watch them struggle, he swears that as soon as the task at hand is over, her will return home. His oath garners him the Drigellum of Compassion. After the story's events have concluded, he does indeed return home to Miyoko and Chie, who greet him with open arms.

Trivia
* Simon most likely has a Scottish accent as a reference to Scotty from the original Star Trek series. This should especially be noted as, in the picture that Miyoko shows the party when they first meet her, Simon looks Asian!

* Simon's alternative outfits Traditional Worksuit and Sho's Clothes are found in the Gladius Towers and the Ghost Ship, respectively. What the heck his clothes are doing in such remote places is anyone's guess.

Rogue Galaxy: Desert Claw

by lee 0 komentar

Desert Claw is introduced early in the story as the person that Dorgengoa sent Simon and Steve to look for. The first time he appears, he helps Jaster against some beasts and gives him the Desert Seeker that starts off Jaster's epic adventure as a member of Dorgengoa's Crew.

He later comes in to help the group fend off Seed during the trek through the Libra King's towers in Zerard.

Later in the Game Desert Claw reveals his true identity as the father of Jaster. His real name is Mizel Rogue. He explains how he met Johanna, Jaster's Mother. However, after giving birth, Johanna died from a disease, and Mizel left Jaster with Raul in order for Jaster to find his own destiny. Mizel knew that Jaster would be the one to bring peace to the galaxy and save it. He tells him to continue to Eden to find the way to save the galaxy.

Rogue Galaxy: Jaster Rogue

by lee 0 komentar

Jaster Rogue is the protagonist in Rogue Galaxy. He is the son of the infamous bounty hunter Desert Claw. No one is sure if Jaster's Mother, Johanna, is an illusion or a real being. Jaster's father left him as a baby on the doorstep of the Rosa church, and he was found by the elderly man there. All his life he did not know who his real father or mother was, until a large salamander attacked Rosa.

Many people mistake him for his father.

Story
Jaster Rogue, a young boy who was abandoned on the planet Rosa as a child. He was raised by a Priest named Raul, who is like a father to Jaster. His long time dream is to travel around space and be a space pirate. One day a huge monster comes and attacks the town; a man known as the Desert Claw, the best Bounty Hunter in the galaxy, shows up and helps Jaster defeat some monsters that outnumber him. After the battle, Desert Claw spots two pirates from the crew of Space Pirate Dorgengoa. He gives Jaster his weapon, the Desert Seeker, one of the Legendary 7 Star Swords, so the pirates will mistake him for Desert Claw. They soon help Jaster defeat the boss monster (The Flaming Alchemist:Salamander Mk.VIII) that attacked the village. After the battle the 2 Pirates (Simon and Steve) tell Jaster that their Captain(Dorgengoa) wants to hire him on his crew. The next day Jaster decides to leave planet Rosa and join the pirates in their journey to find the Lost Planet Eden. After leaving the planet Rosa, Jaster meets up with the rest of the crew of the Dorgenark. Kisala, the captain’s daughter, Steve, a robot and Simon, a space pirate and finally Zegram, a mercenary who agreed to join the crew. Dorgengoa, the captain, is after the legendary Planet Eden which is supposed to have vast amounts of treasure and the people that live there are immortal.

As their journey continues Jaster meets new friends from different planets such as Lilika, an amazon, from the Jungle Planet Juraika, Jupis, a hacker from the Advanced Planet Zerard, and finally Deego, an Ex-Longuardian soldier from the Mining Planet Vedan. On their journey, they discovered that the Great Tablets are connected to Eden.

They also learn that they need Artifacts from Ancient Kings who ruled specific planets years ago. They also don’t know that the president of Daytron is also after Eden, though as the story progresses the true motive of the Daytron president, Valkog is revealed. Jaster and his party search for the 3 relics of the ancient kings: one on Zerard, one on Vedan, and one on Juraika. After finding all three relics, the relics are returned to Rosa. Jaster fights Seed, an artificial human created by Daytron, and defeats him. Jaster then opens the gate to a labyrinth containing the secret to Eden. While in the Rosa labyrinth, Jaster and Kisala discover that Kisala is actually the princess of Eden, known as Mariglenn. When the party leaves the ruins they see Valkog attacking the town Jaster grew up in. Raul, Jaster’s foster father, tries to stop the attacking ship but is killed, but before he dies gives Jaster an artifact connected to Eden/Mariglenn. After this they go into the Kuje desert on Rosa to continue their journey. In the Kuje desert they discover the town of Johannaburg. The party discovers that Johannaburg was frozen in time by a women named Johanna in order to protect it from a plague killing its villagers. In the town they meet the ghost of the women Johanna, who turns out to be Jaster’s mother and also a descendant of the Star King. Jaster then fights his mother in order to unlock his own powers and wins. Afterwards, the Jaster and the others run into Desert Claw again, who turns out to be Jaster’s father and that his real name is Mizel. Mizel describes how he came to Johannaburg and Johanna and that they fell in love and had Jaster. However, after giving birth, Johanna died from a disease, and Desert Claw left Jaster with Raul in order for Jaster to find his own destiny. Mizel knew Jaster would be the one to bring peace to the galaxy and save it. He tells them to continue to Eden to find the way to save the galaxy. Arrived on Mariglenn/Eden, Jaster learn that the planet has been removed from the entire Wilhelser System to encase the ever growing Rune, as well as an evil entity made purely of Rune, known as Mother. Jaster and Kisala find the king, whom his Kisala's father, has become a beast and put him out of his misery. Before perishing, he awakens Kisala's Drigellum, an aura made out of the memories within people's hearts. He tells them they must awaken the other Drigellums inside the hearts of Kisala's friends to craft a sword powerful enough to defeat Mother. When the sword is formed, the group enters Mother's lair where they battle her. Upon being defeated, Mother transforms into her true state, in response to which the Star King enters Jaster. The Star King tries to reason with Mother by forgiving the past of when she was a sorceress named Ilzarbella, when was once along side with the Star King. Mother leaves the Star King no choice and is defeated at the hand of the legendary Drigellum sword.

Valkog's ship appears over Mother's lair after the fight. Neededing a new host, the Rune drags the ship along with Valkog and his two assistants Norma and Izeland into the lava. With the power of the Rune the ship transforms them into the Demon Battleship, a new host for the Rune. Kisala's mother appears and gives Jaster the Drigellum of Prayer, making a new sword for him. Jaster and his friends split up abord the Demon Battleship in order to take down the ship's weapons, after the final section of the ship is destroyed, the crew escapes from the lava filled plain. The planet Mariglenn returns to its place amongst the other planets within Wilhelser System. The crew and Jaster then parts with Kisala, who has made the noble decision to become the new Queen of Mariglenn. Jaster, Zegram, Monsha, and Dorgengoa sit aboard the Dorgenark after the rest of their friends had returned home. The group then heads off to claim their "ultimate treasure" on the new Mariglenn: Kisala. The final scene tells that this was the final mission the Dorgengoa Pirates ever pulled off as pirates. Whether or not they took back Kisala is unknown as that is where the story ends.

Personality
Jaster is impatient, yet kind. He gets irritated at the slightest comment, but is actually very gentile. Jaster cares about the people he knows. For example, when the church elder dies, Jaster lets out a tear and mourns for him until Kisala manages to calm him down, indeed he has more than a feelings for Kisala.

Appearance
Jaster's most distinguishing feature is the unique birthmark on the left side of his face. This was inherited from his mother, and it is actually the mark of the Star King. His eyes are grayish shade of blue, and he has short, blonde hair. His outfit is customizable, like every other character in the game.

Weapons
Jaster uses Swords as a main weapon. There are many swords to choose from, but there are 11 special swords that can't be bought and each have 4 forms with the final form having a different name. These include the seven star swords, Desert Seeker, Zeo Sychros, Sword of Sin, Libra King's Sword, and the Dorgenedge. All, but the Libra King's Sword's final form (Ruler's Horn) surpass the 314 limit in their final form and the Dorgenedge's final form named the Dorgencalibur is the strongest. Jaster's secondary weapon is a gun that can be used up to about 100 times every battle.
Star King
It is revealed later in the game that Jaster is a direct descendant of the King of Legend, The Star King. This is where Jaster gets his powers from. It is also why he was able to open the way to Mariglenn. When using this power, he glows in a fiery red aura, his voice deepens and sounds more menacing and he gains a strong increase in power. He used this power four times, to battle the Beast Seed, Johanna, Mother, and Valkog, the final boss.

Enemy #23
Roller/900/Ice
Zerard/4
Rosencaster Prison

Rollers can be found all over the prison. You will get tired of seeing these! :D

Enemy #24
Slime/950/-
Zerard/4
Rosencaster Prison

Slime groups by themselves and with other enemies are found all over levels 1 and 2 of the prison. They can also be found around the Test Room. The best success was found to be around the Waste Disposal area of the prison.

Enemy #25
Tarantula/1150/Ice
Zerard/4
Rosencaster Prison

This enemy will pop up just about everywhere. This is another of the enemies in the prison that you will be glad not to fight anymore! They are tough if you are at a low level and even at medium levels can do a lot of damage. Not only will you encounter Tarantula in the prison but in the next chapter as well. This enemy will probably be one of the higher encounters you have in the prison and after, if not the highest.

Enemy #26
Petit Pooch/900/Electric
Zerard/4
Rosencaster Prison

Petit Pooch is probably the rarest to find during Rosencaster Prison chapter 4. They can be found rarely at level 2 around the cells and the interior paths of teleports A2 and A3. I waited until Chapter 5 (The Master Hacker) and found the pooches in abundance (also in groups of 3-5) in the first part of the Starship Factory up to the Near Assembly Line 1 teleporter.

Enemy #27
Livid Ape/1150/Ice
Zerard/4
Rosencaster Prison

The Livid Ape enemy can be found starting from the A1 teleporter on the interior paths (not lit) up to the A3 teleporter. Again, they are found on the interior paths that do no have lights around them.

Enemy #28
Shadowman/1000/Holy
Zerard/4
Rosencaster Prison

Shadowman can be found primarily on level 2 of the prison. Check the cells and interior paths that are lit up. The lights are around the base of the halls/paths. I also encountered them on level 3, but very infrequently.

Enemy #29
Savage Dog/1000/Fire
Zerard/4
Rosencaster Prison

This enemy is encountered on all the lit pathways of A1, A2 and A3. Most reliable source was the lit pathways in the A3 section of the prison.

Enemy #30
Crow/950/-
Zerard/4
Rosencaster Prison

Crows are fairly abundant around the Waste Disposal area. They can also be encountered at various points on the interior paths of A2 and A3 (not lit).

Enemy #31
Protobeast/1050/-
Zerard/4
Rosencaster Prison

Protobeast enemies are found all around the A2 and A3 pathways that are not lit.

Enemy #32
Nelvoron/1100/Electric
Zerard/4
Rosencaster Prison

Same as the Protobeast enemy as they are a lot of time grouped with that enemy.

Enemy #33
Phantom Tail/1200/Wind
Zerard/4
Rosencaster Prison

Again, grouped with Nelvoron and Protobeast, this enemy is encountered around the A2 and A3 pathways that are not lit.
